Comprehensive Chess Endings was produced in Russia in the 50's and 60's and teaches the correct way to play almost every ending in normal English language suitable for beginner to Grandmasters. It was the only set of books that Bobby Fischer took with him to Iceland to use as a reference for his Championship match with Boris Spassky. This 8 volume set is considered to be an essential library for all serious chess players. This set was translated into descriptive notation.
