However, be warned that the bottoms are hollow and the kids press their little fingers into the paper felt and break a hole in it. Every year, we replace the old pieces with new pieces with the old ones going to the very kids who punched the holes.

The heads will break off the pawns from simply dropping them on a hard surface, 2. There is a hole in the base under the felt - this is a temptation to poke through!
