Customer Reviews of DGT North American Chess Clock
Rob from New Jersey DGT North American Chess Clock ReviewWhile I loved this clock, and it was easy to set, it stopped working suddenly right before a tournament. Perhaps it was banged up too much in my chess bag, but the durability was suspect
Dennis from Wooster, Ohio DGT North American Chess Clock ReviewAs good or better than Chronos and half the price.
Ralph from Waterloo DGT North American Chess Clock ReviewI have only had the opportunity of using the clock once so far and I can tell you that it is a pleasure to use. I wanted a clock that could be easily set and this definitely does that. And because of the lever on top of the clock it is quite distinguishable from a distance as to who's turn it is to move. And the one feature that was imperative for me was to have a warning when the batteries start to run down. Needless to say, I am quite happy with my purchase.
jay from St.L DGT North American Chess Clock Reviewbest clock on the market eazy to set all the info you need is on the botom of the clock intuitive controls durable and unlike the over priced piece of trash chronos there is no question wether the button registered or whos turn it is now if you play internationaly or want to use the clock for other games like Go or Scrabble then you might want to spend the extra $30 for the 2010 other than that there is no reason to buy any other clock (exept the XL for use with E-boards)
Joe from Edwardsville DGT North American Chess Clock ReviewThis clock does not have hour glass modes. DGT 2010 does but is much more than the Saitek Competition Pro III. Otherwise nice clock.
Scott from Powder Springs DGT North American Chess Clock ReviewA great chess clock. It is pretty easy to operate. You'll still probably need to look at the manual but you can do a lot by just messing around with it. I also have a Saitek and I found the Saitek difficult to learn. At my first tournament I had to ask a 13 yr old kid to program it for me. (Embarrassing). I think this one is easier and more intuitive.
Jon from Aurora DGT North American Chess Clock ReviewNice features, much better than the Saiteks on that score, the lever is solid, and the display is clear. The controls are very easy and intuitive. And the shape prevents any "rocking" when you slap it with any lateral force. All that said, it is very light and has a slight rattle from the on/off switch and the control buttons, which leaves an unfortunately "cheap" impression. I have no reason to think it won't hold up over time and it's nothing I can't get used to, but it's just not quite as solid as it should be.
john from l.a DGT North American Chess Clock Reviewgood clock, the programs are a little hard to figure out at first.
