To pamper you, The House of Staunton offers their newest, heirloom quality, Renegade Series Staunton pattern chessmen. This full tournament-size set is fabricated from boxwood and a wide variety of materials. The King stands 3-7/8" tall with a 1-5/8" diameter base. The set of chessmen ships standard with four (4) Queens. No more upside-down Rooks! The 32 chessmen weigh an impressive 54 ounces! These Chessmen are designed to play on a chessboard with 2-1/4" or 2-3/8" squares.

The Chessmen are new and come housed in a premium House of Staunton Red Burl box which is lined in green billiard cloth, divided and features brass quadrant hinges and a lock & key. The House of Staunton logo is laser etched on the lid of the box.

These unusual masterpieces are crafted to capture in design and proportion the relative value of the individual chessmen, a unique feature found in no other set of Staunton chessmen. No longer do you have to suffer through sets with huge, hulking Knights and diminutive Rooks. This unique, robust design has a very uniform look with broad bases and heavy pedestals.
