Our new Premier Set of plastic chess pieces with a 4 1/8 tall inch king, is perfect for those discriminating chess players who want an upscale set, without an exorbitant price. You won't find a set of such value for double the cost of this one.
The Premier pieces have a beautiful finish. The white pieces area striking Ivory/Natural color, a shade darker than light ivory but not as dark as the caramel-color of some natural pieces. The set weighs in at a hefty 3.75 pounds. The king weighs a full 65 grams (2.2 ounces.)
As you would expect with a set of such quality, there is an extra queen of both colors. The king base is 1 7/8 inches so a board with 2 1/4 inch or larger squares is preferable.

A very good plastic set. Excellent for tourney play, yet cheap enough to afford. I've had couple of complaints about the spikes on the queen's crown being too sharp. But the name says it all, this set is "Premier"! :)

I was impressed with this set from the second that I received it. The weight of the pieces is perfect. Anyone would love the weight and feel of each piece. Even the pawns have a nice weight. The Kings tower over the entire board. The pieces are shiny with a beautiful design. The light pieces are an off white and are beautiful. The dark pieces do not have a dull look. They are also beautiful. I like this set and price better than the Super Staunton Chess pieces. Everyone I have played ask where I got the pieces from. These are the pieces to get.
