Description of French Wood Chess Pieces with 3 3/4" King in Shesham
The Staunton-style French Set is named for the French Knight that accompanies it. His head is proudly held strait out from his body (no shirking a challenge here!) and his mane is well groomed behind his laid back ears. The King and his Queen are classic Staunton with the king being a stately 3 3/4 inch tall.
This set is made from sheesham and boxwood. The 3 3/4 inch set comes with felt bottoms on all of the pieces. We recommend a board with 2 to 2 1/2 inch squares.
