The Bobby Fischer collection is a screensaver of Bobby Fischer which replays every game of his on the screen. The Fischer screensaver is a special program which you install on Windows XP or Vista. Once installed and selected as your screensaver, it will randomly select a Bobby Fischer game from the 950 games database and replay the game at 8 seconds a move. You can adjust the time delay as you wish. A screen with the move is displayed with the game information and photo of Fischer. After 8 seconds, the board is re-drawn in another position on the screen so it is a true screensaver changing the view. A new photo of Bobby is randomly selected from the 450 photo library and the last move is displayed along with the color to move so the user can easily follow along.
On the same collection is every Chess Life & review article about him from 1956-1975 (about 900 pages) which are in PDF format. There are collections of all his games in PGN format and CBH format for Chessbase & Fritz. The games are all annotated. Whenever Fischer or his opponents made a mistake, Fritz made a training puzzle out of the position called "What’s the Best Move" - these come up automatically in Fritz.
System Requirements: Requires Windows XP for Screensaver, Acrobat files will work on all platforms. Game collections require chess playing software to run (ie Fritz 10). Fischer Screensaver will work on Vista if UAC is turned off.
