Customer Reviews of Sliding Sheesham Chess Box
Robert from Knoxville Sliding Sheesham Chess Box ReviewI bought 4 of these boxes, gave one as a gift. On one box the lid didn't slide properly so I knocked off the rough edges with a nail file or sand paper, then lub it with some candle wax; slides easy. Don't over do it and make it too loose or you will grab rthe top and drop the box. A little bubble wrap helps keep the pieces from rattling. Cool box for the price.
Anthony from hollidaysburg, PA Sliding Sheesham Chess Box ReviewThe lid would not open. I had to have a friend of mine pry it open and sand it.
Ken from Oak Creek Sliding Sheesham Chess Box ReviewExcellent product, I will use both of them for many years.
Mike from Colorado Springs Sliding Sheesham Chess Box ReviewStrong and sturdy wood, however, construction is cheap. Sliding top was damaged. Instead of going through the return process I simply used some wood glue. It serves its purpose but I would not order this product.
Lisa from Newburgh, IN Sliding Sheesham Chess Box ReviewGreat product at a great price! The chess box is beautiful and fits my set with 3 3/4" kings with room to spare.
Greg from Menasha Sliding Sheesham Chess Box ReviewThe first thing one notices about this chess box is how deep it is. A player can store pieces in an upright position, something normally not possible with many other chess boxes. The wood and finish are high quality, and the sliding top fits snugly in the grooves, reducing the chance of the top sliding open. The bottom of the box is lined and padded, so pieces are less likely to be damaged in transit. A very good chess box at an affordable price.
Robert from Tualatin Sliding Sheesham Chess Box ReviewNice box. I would have given it 5 stars, but even after putting my largest set into it (I use a board with 2 5/8" squares for this one because of its size) it still seemed that I could have gotten most of a second set comfortably inside. Quite large.
