Description of Fritz Trainer - Davies: The Accelerated Dragon
The Accelerated Dragon is much more than just a dynamic yet solid means of countering 1.e4. By knowing how to counter the Maroczy Bind Black can counter both the English and Reti Openings and even develop the basis of a defense against 1.d4.Whilst having been used extensively by superstars such as Bent Larsen and Tigran Petrosian, Davies argues that the Accelerated Dragon is an even more effective proposition for club players. As he explains on this DVD, many White players are under the mistaken impression that the positions are like a regular Sicilian Dragon. And if this is the case they can find himself being demolished right out of the opening. Video running time: 4 hours.

Customer Reviews of Fritz Trainer - Davies: The Accelerated Dragon
Steve from South Plainfield, NJ Fritz Trainer - Davies: The Accelerated Dragon ReviewI am a casual player who enjoys reading chess books. This is my first video chess software purchase. I recently bought Fritz 12-love it! I decided to purchase this video because the information from the books that I have regarding the Accelerated Dragon was not sinking in! The video by Nigel Davies is making comprehension so much easier. It is broken out into chapters. Nigel's British accent is easy to understand and he is able to take what could be a difficult concept, easy to understand. I look forward to watching the balance of this video and will be purchasing others in the future. Even though the name "Fritz" is on the cover, this is a stand alone video. I wish it had instructions because you are able to do some fun things like change boards in both a 2 D and 3 D format. There seems to be other bells and whistles. I managed to cut and paste a game that Nigel laid out and inputted it into Fritz (manually-there's no import feature in Fritz that I'm able to find.) However, manual import suits me fine becuase I have to go through the games again thus furthering my comprehension abilities-LOL). There are no draw backs that I could see so far. This video is designed for the person who has an understanding of chess openings and defenses.
