Description of Roman's Lab: Vol 76: Beating 1.d4 with the Aggressive Dzindzi-Indian Defense, Part 1
Roman's Labs: Vol 76: Beating 1.d4 with the Aggressive & Revised Dzindzi-Indian Defense, Part 1 is from the Roman and Rybka--Perfecting the Opening Series.
Grandmaster Roman Dzindzichashvili, with the help of Rybka, has revitalized this forgotten opening, which he made famous by winning countless games. The Dzindzi-Indian Defense is a Black defensive system beginning with 1.d4 g6 2.c4 Bg7 3.Nc3 c5 4.d5 Bxc3+! 5.bxc3 f5. It first appeared on Roman's Forum series vol. 32--which is still a good reference. In this complete two-part opening repertoire, (volumes 1 and 2) significant improvements have been made.
The Dzindzi-Indian is easy to learn and understand and is a great surprise weapon that your opponent will have trouble meeting. Roman taught GM Lev Alburt this opening right before a tournament which he scored 21/2 out of 3 for Blackand as a result won first place.
