PREMIER COLLECTION: FIANCHETTO SERIES - ROSEWOOD

In chess the Fianchetto is an opening pattern of development wherein a bishop plays a key roll. One of the major benefits of the Fianchetto is that it often allows the bishop to become more active, and control a lot of squares - becoming a powerful offensive weapon. Just like the Fianchetto opening this set’s bishop controls a commanding presence with its modern design. Adjacent to the bishop is the beautifully carved knight with braided mane and bridle.

The Fianchetto Series from our Premier Collection is Crafted from Rosewood and Boxwood. Rosewood is strong, heavy, and richly hued timber taking an excellent polish, being suitable for creating decorative wood. The King stands 4" tall with a 1 7/8" base. From the bridled knight to the unique Bishop, these pieces are sure to catch the eye.
