PREMIER COLLECTION: NOBILITY SERIES - ROSEWOOD

This set has been crafted to imitate the prevailing design and dimension of the original Staunton pattern Chessmen, registered by Nathaniel Cook in March of 1849 and first manufactured by Jaques of London in September 1849. The distinctive feature of this set is in the Knight design, which is modeled after the noble steeds from the Greek Parthenon. Its craftsmanship is stunning.

The Nobility Series from our Premier Collection is Crafted from Rosewood and Boxwood. Rosewood is strong, heavy, and richly hued timber taking an excellent polish, being suitable for creating decorative wood. The King stands 4" tall with a 1 7/8" base. From the noble Knight to the towering Rook, these pieces are sure to catch the eye. Chessmen.
