Wholesale Chess announced today that it has purchased inventory & assets from online competitor Chess Power. Throughout early 2009, Wholesale Chess plans on selling the inventory purchased from Chess Power items at discount prices as a service to the many chess clubs and scholastic chess programs fighting to remain strong in a difficult economy. Chess Power has closed operations and no longer has equipment available for sale on their site.
We receive comments from chess instructors and leaders of scholastic chess programs daily indicating the difficultly in putting chess sets in the hands of all their students. What’s important to us is making sure that we will always be in the position to help chess clubs, scholastic chess groups, and chess enthusiasts in the United States and throughout the world find affordable chess sets and chess equipment.
