What can I say about Wholesale Chess, other than I’m totally satisfied with they’re service & product. I bought a damaged portable chess set and I have trouble finding the damage/ding and my friends ahvn’t noticed it. The chess set looks great and have played many games with it. The price was great and also was the quick delivery response. I’m very pleased and have told my friends about Wholesale Chess. I only wish that other mail order companies would follow suit and be as consumer friendly. Keep up the good work, Thanks.
I bought some of the cheaper items at the wholesale price and was pleasently surprised to find that they were a little bit better quality than I was expecting. I’m thankful that you guys called me when my credit card didn’t work. In the past when a sale couldn’t go through for one reason or another on other sites. I didn’t find out until weeks later when the product I ordered hadn’t arrived yet. So, thank you very much for that.

I ordered the items on a weekend. They were shipped the following Thursday. I received the items a couple weeks later.
I like the vendor as the selection is as good as it gets and the prices are outstanding. Finding the Kasparov CD is not difficult to get but if I wanted to get the Karpov CD I cannot find it no where else.
You sold me what was described as ‘imperfect quality’ at deeply discounted prices. Yet, I can find no imperfections! I’m quite pleased with my purchases.

I have purchased your basic club sets for a number of different clubs and always recommended you for individuals looking to buy. As always, quality, service, and price were excellent.
One suggestion: The vinyl roll-up boards come with a strong unpleasant chemical smell, which eventually goes away, but slowly. Would there be any way you could air them out before sending them to customers?
Ordered Basic Club Set for Elementary Chess Club. They are perfect! The chess pieces are a nice large size and the mat-like chess boards are nice quality. Very happy with my purchase and wholesalechess.com!!!

I am starting a chess club in a Title 1 school here in Texas. The other club sponsor and myself have to pay for the club out of our own pockets and Wholesale Chess really does provide a good bang for the buck.
I have a ton of chess sets already so I was really looking for some inexpensive chess themed giveaways. The kids don’t get many free things so the keychain set & pencils were really well received. They use the keychains as a way to identify themselves as being club members. Plus, they showed off their pencils which are much nicer in person.
Since so many kids have never played chess, so the Buddy Boards are a totally amazing idea! Hopefully, we’ll get some money saved up and buy more. They really are great aids for beginners and experienced players alike.

@ Fr. Brian Conner – Thanks for the feedback, Brain. I double checked your order to make sure we sent you the correct bags, and you did order the Basic Club Combo which comes with the smaller bags. This is the first I’ve heard about the basic pieces not fitting well – and we’ve sold thousands of the Basic Combos. They are a snug fit – but they shouldn’t put up too much of a fight for you. Thanks for pointing out the troubles.

This is the first time I have been in any way disappointed with something from Wholesale Chess – even if it was a minor thing. But, with the Basic Chess set combo burgundy, the bags were on the smaller size to the point where I almost could not get all 32 pieces in the bag. Also, I thought I was getting the ones with handles and the place to stick the rolled up board into- the carrying case type – but that may be my mistake. Otherwise, I have been very happy with everything about Wholsesale Chess- and our chess club is flourishing with twice as many students from last year – 90 players this year.
Wholesale Chess makes it so easy for our school club to order! Their website is very user-friendly and their customer service is quick and helpful. We have always been pleased with the products as well! Too bad so many other companies don’t operate in the same manner. They could take lessons from Wholesale Chess!
I got my order of a simple Staunton set on only 4 days, a lot faster than the 5-9 days that was promised. The set is high-quality resin, with a nice heavy weight.
Wholesale Chess will definitely be my go-to site when I want to upgrade my board. Great works, folks!
I received my shipment of the Executive Tournament Chess Set Combo and the Traditional Folding Rosewood Chess Set. They arrived within a week of my order (as expected).
I am enjoying the Rosewood chess set, but I was a little disappointed with the cheap quality of the Executive Chess Set pieces. The plastic mold markings are prominent on each piece, and the felts are quite thin. On arrival the felts were improperly placed on several pieces, and the weights had fallen out of a few pawns. I don’t get the feeling the pieces are going to stand up to extensive use. There is not much surface area on the piece bottoms on which the felts can stay glued. I will try re-centering and reinforcing the felts with some additional glue, but with a name like “Executive Chess Set”, I was expecting more.
We received our human-size chess board very quickly. We shopped around forever to try and find the most inexpensive board we could, and this was the place! The chess board, however, is huge and of great quality. We’ll be using this for years to come.
I am really enjoying the Caro Kann DVD I really cannot beleive the difference in Grandmaster and International Master instruction. I have been inactive for awhile and now I am almost ready to play chess again.
I ordered on-line one afternoon with regular ground delivery to California, and it was shipped-out that very same day. It couldn’t have been more than a couple of days before it actually arrived. Shipping was lightening fast! Very satisfied with the whole process. Additionally, I had placed an order previously, and right after I placed it, I decided I needed to change something. I e-mailed to Wholesale Chess and they caught the order just as it was about to go out and canceled it for me. These guys definitely are not taking their time to get orders out. I’ll order again from them.
@ Dan – I assume you’re talking about shipping estimates? We don’t ‘take our time’ – we send your package out as soon as payment clears and UPS can come and pick it up. The shipping estimates are those that UPS offers – they give themselves buffer time in case of inclement weather, etc.

Plus, i’d like to know – when it writes between 7 to 12 days, It shall take 7 days and if there are any problems 12 days, or you “take the time”?
Order came in a very timely manner, was correct and I was very happy with it. The equipment is being donated by me to a university just starting a chess club and the kids are very excited about it. It was fun getting the colored pieces so they can play their school colors against one another when just playing fun games.
I really like the different colored hard plastic pieces while playing in the board game requiring different colors. I play PLEX, 4-MAN CHESS, 3-MAN CHESS, and Courier. Hopefully in the near future you can make these colors: TAN, BROWN, LIME, AND ORANGE.
