This is the first time I dealt wit Wholesale chess. The chess set was a great Christmas present. My son loved his present he is 8 and is into chess. The chess set is so nice we are setting is up as a piece of furniture. We are purchasing a table and chairs for the board so we can play it anytime we want.

I am very pleased with my first experience with Wholesale Chess. The item I ordered was shipped very quickly – in time for Christmas in spite of my late order. The wooden magnetic travel chess set was as described and perfect for the gift I had in mind.
Great service. I ordered a bunch of stuff (not really presents) less than a week before Christmas with standard shipping. I didn’t expect the items before the new year. They upgraded the shipping for free and it was here before Christmas – a nice surprise. They were very helpful by email as we discussed a new item that was not yet in stock that I wanted to wait for.
I would (will) happily do business with them again.

I am a beguinner , after consulting with the man rep. I ordered ” Fritz Twelve ” CD. The basic chess lessons by an Australian are average, it takes a while to get used to the Aussie accent, HOWEVER the actual games against the computer with humorous comments and hints and possibilities is GREAT. In a few games I have developed confidence in at least opening strategy. I am looking forward to the other possibilities that program offers.
I called and ordered chess score books. The gentleman on the phone was wonderful to deal with and the books arrived very quickly. Great customer service!

I ordered a chess set with canvas bag. One pocket that holds the pieces was sewn into the center of the bag. I emailed wholesale chess, and I received another bag promptly (although after Christmas)… The chess pieces leave much to be desired. The weight on the king pieces sticks out of the bottom at an angle so the king does not sit flat. One queen has (what my kid calls) a booger on the top. I know it’s not one of those ‘expensive’ sets, but for a $25 plastic chess set, it ought to be a little nicer…
Like I said, the service is great, but their product is poor.
This was my first time ordering from Wholesale Chess. It did not know what to expect but the prices and selection was great so I order the chess game for my 5 years old. We received the package on time, and I was super please with the quality of the items.

Christmas morning … just opened the chess set (pieces, board and carrying case) … we loved the set until we started to play and discovered the white pieces had 3 knights and only one rook. Bummer. We’re hoping you’ll be able to send us a second rook to make a complete set. Thanks!

I was looking for a chess set 14″ with pieces of King 3″.
However, this website does not have it.
Instead of ordering the bulk right sets or providing explanations why these sets are no longer available Lyndia from the the customer service recommended me either smaller of larger boards sets.
It is funny that she wrote: “I hope this helps” (!?).
Such service is not helpful at all.
Wholesale Chess has been my only supplier of chess sets and awards for nearly four years. I manage a chess club of 36 students at a public school in Minnesota. The first year we gradually built up our basic chess gear doing fundraisers with Wholesale Chess items. More recently, I purchase the chess medals and other small awards to keep the students motivated. With every order Wholesale Chess has done a super job of getting me the items I need in a timely way. Your service and communication have been excellent as always. I have ordered several items from wholesale chess and have been very happy. Unfortunately I cannot say the same about the Super Staunton Collector Chess Pieces with 4″ King. I was very disappointed. It seems to be made of a cheap, dull plastic. The Black pieces are rough and dull, with no shine. Almost all the pieces have small gouges and plastic “burrs” at the base, as if they were pulled off the molds too fast.
I have a Marshall set by The House of Staunton that is far superior to this set. The fault is not yours but the manufacturer (Made in China?). Have you opened the box and looked at a few of these sets lately? This one does not match the glowing words in the product description of your website.
I will be returning the Super set to you for a full refund.

The quality chess set combo is perfect for beginner and advance chess players. As a chess coach, I always recommend my students play on board with ranks and files that have letters and numbers. This set is only one step above what is use in chess clubs. Tough and durable board with very attactive chess pieces. They will make great gifts for my god-children. I have ordered over a hundred sets from wholesale chess and have never been disappointed.

This was a gift for my grandson. It was shipped directly to their house. I have no idea about the gift etc. However, it was no secret because the box was stamped “chess set” which of course was a major disappointment. No surprise there!!!
Wholesale Chess will make my son’s Christmas!! He is really into chess this year (he’s 9), and has been playing with a small wooden set. His favorite color is green and we ordered the glass and green set and board. Wow – it arrived in 2 days in great condition, and even came with extra pads for the pieces. He is going to freak out!! And I also ordered the black vinyl case with green felt – it’s even nicer than it looks on the site and it comes with a key, which is exciting for kids! I cannot wait for him to open it…this is going to be his “big” gift, and it was so reasonably priced. Great selection, great products, great service!

The product, “Premier Tournament Chess Combo”, had a very reasonable price and the quality & performance was significantly better that I had expected at that price. Furthermore, delivery was prompt and inexpensive. For my next chess purchase, I will visit the wholesalechess site first.

I bought a basic slotted chess demo board with red and black pieces and bag for my daughter to do a demo in her school. This is a great product for the price. Pieces are big and stay put in place. The board is big too. This is exactly what I wanted. I am very happy with this product.

Bought for my 6 yr old grandson for Christmas. Product looks great, with the detailing of the wood pieces quite impressive for the price. What made this company standout was the follow up e-mail I recieved from Caleb asking if I was satisified with my order. Other companies would not care. Finally a company that actually cares about the customer.
We just love our new glass chess set. It is so beautiful we leave it out on our coffee table. The pieces are nice and big and beautifully colored. We purchased the red and white glass set with the matching glass board. We just love it!!!! Great price and fast shipping. I give this company a double thumbs up!
