White's opening with 1 b4 is known by a variety of names. Tartakower gave it the colorful moniker "Orangutan" after a visit to the zoo during the New York 1924 tournament. Sokolsky published significant analysis of the opening in much of Europe, but the move is also known as the Polish Opening. It is not really a radical opening and author Wall has provided a thorough survey of the current theory. It is a very playable game for the venturesome who are willing to depart from the most analyzed openings.
