Rebecka Ratcliffe

Rebecka Ratcliffe is an independent author and proponent of chess in schools. Proudest chess accomplishment? The elementary school chess club she and her husband started in Oregon often had 10% of the student body in attendance. She is a member of Chess Journalists of America, and she’s recently learned to play a reasonably competent game of casual chess. Her works of fiction include The Only One Laughing and Treefall, as well as many books for children. Exiled to Northern Virginia in 2022, she spends her free time ferrying teenagers and playing Dungeons and Dragons.
