Here's your opportunity to create your own chessboard!  Simply remove the inner pages of this book, color the pieces, then cut and fold them to assemble your personal chess set. You can place the pieces on an existing chessboard or draw one yourself. (You might need a little help from an adult.)  

Did you know a chessboard has 64 squares?  Each square should be at least 1.4 inches (3.5 cm). To make your board, you'll need a piece of cardboard measuring 11.2 inches by 11.2 inches  (28 cm x 28 cm) or larger—this matches the width of the book.

Vishnu Warrier is a Chess Expert hailing from the United States, based in Texas.Growing up in the rainy Pacific Northwest, Vishnu spent his youth playing speed chess against chess hustlers at Crossroads Mall. He went on to train classically and began competing in state and national competitions. He found his love for coaching when he was 16 when he started working for Chess4Life. Even today. Vishnu is heavily involved in coaching and training the next generation of students. He is an adult improver and is working on getting his national master title. Outside of chess, Vishnu is a husband and a father and works as a Consultant for a Fortune 500 company.
