Proudly imported from Europe, The Roman wood chess set has been handcrafted and hand-finished out of the finest hornwood wood. It features a highly artistic design that is reminiscent of the pre-Staunton pattern chess sets of the early 19th century.
The complimentary chess board has been designed to provide the perfect amount of contrast for the hornwood chess pieces, and has a rich lacquered finish. The perimeter of the chess board features the traditional rank and file labels, and it can be folded in half for easy storage. Inside the chess board are two compartments for storing the chess pieces when not in use, providing a high level of protection.
NOTE - All European Collection Chess Sets are made from renewable plantation wood, making them eco friendly.
