    Tick tock

So far so good. I think this is a good clock for beginners and average chess players with out breaking the bank. The colors are not boring. Adds a little spice to the game I think.

    Good vinyl board

Nicely proportioned, cleanly printed, good quality for vinyl. Roll with the print side out to help curtail curling.

    Durable, easy to use

We use these both in club and at home. Even the Kindergarten kids can operate them and they have withstood drops to a cement floor.

    awful - misleading

Posted by Unknown on 5th Jan 2015

misleading that this was the most popular chess timer -- how could it possibly be! Cheap plastics, cover of the battery compartment is a joke, you can only remove it by prying it off, so cheap that they didn't even bother to make marks on it in order to slide it off. The description that comes with it: who wrote it? Worse than a second-grade kid. Any instructions on how to use it? None to speak of. This thing is not going to last long, will end up in the trash soon, where it belongs....

Diamond Quartz Analog Chess Clock -Kind of Fragile

Posted by Unknown on 15th May 2014

I was very excited when I received these clocks. They really looked amazing, but as I began to put them together, the batteries kept popping out of the back. I was able to get them back in, but when my students began using them, the backs started popping back out again. I had to use masking tape so the backs would stay in.

I bought 17 clocks. One has already stopped working on one side. I am going to replace the battery and hope for the best. Another one, the red flag doesn't flap down after the time is up. I plan on returning these and getting them replaced.

Besides that, the clocks are great and the kids love them. Though I am really worried about their shelf live. I don't want to have to replace them within one year of using them.

A Very Nice Timer at a Nice Price

Posted by Sinclair Games on 10th Jul 2013

I purchased five of these for a miniature wargame tournament. They worked very well and the price was great. If you want a timer that works well and will not cost too much this is the one for you. If you want a timer with all of the "bells and whistles" you may want to look for different one.

The clock appears to be better then the standard analog clock.
