New & Improved 2014 Version. Includes a larger display and buttons, count-down and count-up, new move & save options, and bonus & delay options.
The DGT Easy Plus is the choice of former world chess champion Vladimir Kramnik. It combines high quality with absolute simplicity and a sturdy and elegant design.
Easy to program and easy to use, it features handy front buttons, game timer count-up option, simple one-touch reset, large and clear display, low battery indicator, optional buzzer. Individual time settings possible for each player. The Easy Plus comes in a nice gift box. Sharp pricing competes with analog clocks.
DGT Easy Game Timer PLUS Feature List:
this was exactly what i was looking for. i think the quality is better than other reviews state, but my friends and i don't slam the timer arms like others do. it does everything i need and it was a a good price.
I bought quite a few of the DGT Easy Game Timer Plus, and with the quantity pricing rate and back to school special discount, I have to agree with previous comments that they are easily the best value for scholastic chess. Customizable delay and increment, and easy to set clocks with a push of a few buttons, is very convenient. Yes, it may take a few moments to change from blitz to tournament time controls, but once you find out how easy it is to select and use the buttons, it's not a big deal.
My only drawback on this clock is that it may be too lightweight for some blitz players, or for kids that really bang on the clock. Perhaps it is a lesson that kids learn about respecting other people's property! But for sane chess players not in a time scramble and do not require multiple time controls, the clock is fine for club and school use.
a little disappointing but an ok clock. You have to reset the time control anytime you change (in other words you have to reset the clock to go from blitz to tournement time controls). I think this is going to put a lot of wear on the buttons. But it's reliable and inexpensive.
I like the size, the easy use, and the rocker arm. The major disappointment is that it does not have a 2nd time control. It has some features that most players will never use like counting up, time per move, and bonus time. It does have 5 second delay. Good for blitz games so you can easily punch the clock and hear it click so you know your time has stopped without looking at the bar to make sure it registered.
Easy to use. Great for kids for being so easy to use and they like the bright pretty colors. The DGT Easy Timer-Plus includes delay and bonus. I own six of this DGT style clock. Only 4 stars because if one is dropped or falls off the table it will need repair, the symptom will be that only one side will count. The repair for the Easy-Plus is to re-glue a magnet back in place on the plastic piece that the players hit, for the others glue a peg that depresses a switch back in place.
The BEST chess clock for scholastic purposes. The price is exactly right. The buttons won't break as easily as other scholastic clocks. Far easier to program than more expensive clocks. Simply the best clocks you can buy for your scholastic uses. And heck, why not have a cheaper, easier clock for yourself?!
