The latest chess timer from ZMartFun. The ZMF-II has modern, bright LED display technology, stainless steel, accurate, touch sense buttons, and durable plastic case made here in the USA.
Stable low profile with anti-slide rubber feet. Turn sound and lights on or off, Low power consumption means 1600 hours of use in normal conditions with 4 C batteries (not included). Intended for indoor use as the LED display is not as clear in direct sunlight.
One Year Warranty against manufacturing defects. Made in USA.
This looks like the Chronos. Is it the same? The ZMF-II has fewer features than the Chronos, but most everything you will need. Chronos has a metal case. ZMF-II is plastic. However at half the price you can buy two for the price of a Chronos.
Very nicely made. It took me a couple of days to figure out how it works. The sound does not work.
I bought this clock because I saw it at a tournament and the display is very easy to read with the green LED, especially for these old eyes. However I didn't realize how much of an issue having C batteries would be. You can't buy lithiums in size C and alkaline batteries will eventually leak and destroy your clock. I tried to use a set of plastic adapters that convert AA to C but they didn't fit in the tight compartment. The whole clock also feels very cheap. I quickly ordered the Chronos GX which is made of metal and uses AA batteries to replace it. The ZMF will go on ebay.
The good - the display is great. Price is reasonable.
The bad - cheap feel and C batteries.
Quality construction / durable. Works just like you'd expect. If you read the instructions for 60 seconds, programming is easy.
Works so much better than I had expected.
I had a simple analog bhb (very durable) but, now you need a digital (for delay and increment), so I purchased a dgt960. It had the features I wanted. That being said it was not perfect for me ( size of display/ease of use).
I purchased this clock because I thought the led would be easier to read ( it is ). This actually turned out to be the perfect clock, it can do everything a chess clock needs to do. What really stands out is how incredibly simple it is in actual use. The programing is beyond simple.
The size, heft, and industrial design make this clock look and feel extremely professional. For half the price of the chronos with virtually all the features it would be hard to go wrong.
The service I received was outstanding !!! My order had some processing problems due to my bank, Wholesale Chess went above and beyond to help me, even going so far as to stay late on a Friday while I dealt with the banking issues to ensure my package would go out immediately.
The quality of the product and the professionalism of the staff has made me a lifetime customer.

P.s. I forget to mention how fast the free shipping turned out to be ( it took half the time I was expecting ).
I recently ordered the ZMF II digital clock and I love it! I am a beginner player who is looking to take it to the next step. I found Wholesale Chess through playing on Chess.com
I like how simple it is to change the settings on this clock and how many features it has (that can be used for different kinds of games). At first I was confused about how to change some of the settings and how to navigate. I seemed to get stuck in certain menu items once in a while. And, there was a time control that I wanted but could not figure out how to do (or maybe it's not available).
I think the display is just a hair too bright for me in the evening (or a dimly-lit room). Does it have a dimmer? The indicator lights are important to me because they indicate a definite "touch". Occasionally I "brushed" the sensor so delicately that it did not switch to the other side. But, a regular tap does the job.
Overall, I'm happy with this very versatile clock.
For the cost of this digital clock you can't go wrong, easy to use, great display!
