This is an economical way to supply your chess team, desk, or office with the basic essentials of the chess world—a board and a set of pieces. The Analysis pieces have a 2½ inch king and the board is 12 inches square. The small size of the set is ideal for places where you don't have a lot of storage and/or playing room.
Great for the price. Extra queens for a couple more bucks would be an improvement
I agree with another comment. The size is way too small. Smaller than you expect from the image. I still need figure out how to use my 40 sets.
I was very pleased with the price of this chess set (which is why I bought it). The pieces are excellent quality; the vinyl board wants to curl a bit on the edges. I smooshed it with a book for a day or so, and now it's flat enough to use. Overall, you get what you paid for.

As a long term repeat customer I enjoy shopping at Wholesale Chess. The prices are great and delivery times are usually quicker than expected.
Buy with confidence, nice product. I had to teach a Boy Scout Merit Badge and wanted to have a bunch of sets for the Scouts to play a "mini tournament" and these sets were a perfect--nice chess pieces and a really good price.
I wanted a small inexpensive set to keep in my briefcase. This was certainly the right price. It's small enough and light enough. I like that you can see the board and pieces easy, like the big tournament set I keep on the coffee table.
I roll the board in a used paper towel tube and just keep the pieces in a plastic bag in a pocket of the briefcase. Works well.
I had a chance to play with my granddaughter the other day, if I didn't have the set with me, that wouldn't have happened. I'm glad I bought it.
I truly enjoy this size of the boards as they fit perfectly on the desks.
The pieces are perfect for the children to handle from 1st graders to 5th graders. The price was perfect too!
Some cool reasons I like this one more than one I bought elsewhere.
The board is beefier and better quality.
The Knights look like they belong to the set.
Though it's significantly smaller than the regular entry level club set, and you're thinking, "Yo! I had to resell a lotta disgustingly unclean yard sale Foreman grills on eBay for my cash!" it's worth it. Believe me, the set's a nice one you'll be glad you grabbed. Just smaller, which is what you're lookin' for.
I may have spent less elsewhere, but ended up regretting it.
And, no, I don't work for Wholesale Chess. Just wish I do.
